Flight Arrival and Departure Times
If you are flying in to any of the New York area airports (Newark Liberty, John F. Kennedy or La Guardia) on the day of your cruise make sure you allow plenty of time to get to the ship. Carnival recommends arriving by 1:00 PM. After your cruise, your flight should not leave before 1:00 PM from any of the airports. (updated January 2010)
Parking at the Port of New York
Carnival sails from the Manhattan Cruise Terminal. The parking lot at the pier is $30 per night. Payment is due as you enter the lot (cash, Visa or MasterCard only). (updated January 2011)

From the Airports (JFK, LGA and EWR) to the Port
From JFK it is a flat rate of $45 to the port. From LGA it is about $35 plus tolls and tip. From EWR it will be about $45 plus tolls and tip. The rates are dependent on which route the driver takes you. There are a few shuttle companies that you can use to get to the port as well. Cruise Line transfers are $35 per person each way from JFK and EWR and $30 per person each way from LGA. (updated June 2010)

Boarding Time for Carnival Cruises out of New York
Boarding for your Carnival cruise starts at 1:00 PM. If possible, get there early to avoid the lines. You must be checked-in at least 90 minutes prior to the scheduled cruise departure. (updated July 2010)
Required Travel Documentation
As of June 1, 2009 U.S. Citizens on closed-loop cruises (cruises that start and end from the same port) can still cruise with a birth certificate and government-issued photo ID (children only need a birth certificate). Passports are required if you have to leave the cruise early and fly back to the U.S. Passports may also be required depending on the country your ship is visiting.
